Support for Families Navigating a Loved One’s Illness
Do you have children and a loved one in your life with a chronic illness?
Have you ever found yourself wondering..
“How do I make sure they are going to be okay through all this?”
“When do I tell them about the diagnosis?”
“Should I tell them anything at all?”
“They’re asking to visit the hospital. Is it okay for them to go.”
“I am so scared I am going to mess this up and ruin my kids.”
Hi, I’m Kaylee — a Certified Child Life Specialist. I’m here to support you and your child(ren) as you navigate the emotional challenges that come with having a loved one facing serious illness. My goal is to equip you with confidence and practical tools to help foster healthy coping skills in your child(ren).
Even in the most heartbreaking circumstances, children have an incredible capacity for resilience. When we provide them with honest, age-appropriate information and guide them through how to process and cope with that information, they can—and will—be okay.
